Sir,

With reference to my Confidential Despatch of
the 17th. of July last, I have the honour to transmit the enclosed copies, marked 'A' and 'B', of a pamphlet called the "Jahan-i- Islam" (i.e. Mahomedan World) which purports to be published near the town of Bab Ali in Arabia but which is in all probability published in San Francisco. One was sent. to a Mahomedan Policeran named Amer Shah through the Fost from the United States. The other was left at the house of Cheragh Din, Jemadar of the Mahomedan Police. Both Officers handed the papers to the Captain Superintend-
-ent of Police.
I enclose translation of some passages from the pamphlet. It is significant that the passege marked 'Ç' is practic- -ally word for word the same as appears in every copy of the
"Chadar".
